• Es war ein klein wenig so, als würde Kleist`s Marionetten-Theater-Gliedermänner Andrew Lloyd Webber singen, während Buster Keaton gerade Georg A. Romeros Night of the living Dead neu inszeniert. Ernst nehmen können DAS MUSIKILL nur beschränkte Geister. Oder dann wiederum solche, die die menschliche Komödie begriffen haben - und darüber lachen, obwohl es manchmal zum Schreien ist. Ich hatte einen Mordsspaß bei der Premiere. Ein tiefer Griff in die organische Befindlichkeit.

Film and Video Festival. The Festival is one of the biggest independent
filmfestivals in the world.

Good to hear from you! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I work away from London and had attended a meeting with Icon over their new movie, The Butterfly Effect. Anyway, I'll tell you, I saw your movie. And...
... it was utter madness! But on a good note! I sat there shaking my head side-to-side not wondering what was happening or what to expect. I give you your dues, Das Musikill is certainly loopy entertainment! So yeah, get that sequel done too. I shall have a word with the editor of Hotdog as I think it worth a special mention in the "underground" section of cinema movies that are up and coming. As for The Dark Side, I am not sure that they will go for it as it not horror but we can get something in Hotdog which is one of the leading mainstream film magazines (in the other issue, I interviewed the editor of Terminator 2 and Pearl Harbour).
Some of the subs need work but I can help you if you wish.

It's my Honour to recommend 'Das Musikill', film by Clemens Keiffenheim, Deutschland. The film is innovative and alternative with ironies, love and light. The question being every role (actors and people) without answers or with the answers that we need only to believe because special kind of black humour, I found it here. Clemens Keiffenheim express the feelings of theatre group that performances with music a game portrait between to die to live by remote control, but following ways that you never know what it can give you, maybe the pleasure to enjoy because the music and the music can kill us. 'Let's die (so) because the music', don't forget that I am from Cuba, the Music's place and where the Musikill. Light, humour, and the good position of every protagonist inserted into the film, drive you out of it, fresh, until next step: Everything is so correctly mixing: satirical perversion, dances, and songs, with relax: 'Jealousy, love, hate, vanity ' into remote-controleed immortality. Even outside the theatre-world trouble seems endless', but no here where troubles are finding solutions and because we are laughing, laughing, still laughing. "Hercules" and Body Builder Gordon Mitchell is Dead

A week from today a hero of epic historical films was scheduled
to arrive in Munich for the Oktoberfest as a guest of the "Tageszeitung"
(Munich daily newspaper). The flight was booked, and he was really
looking forward to it, but before he could make the journey Gordon
Mitchell left us. He died peacefully in his sleep Saturday night
in his home in Los Angeles.
What does Gordon Mitchell have to do with Munich? A lot. With
his his best friend and sort of adopted son, Munich film director
Clemens Keiffenheim, he shot last year the soon to
be released film "Das Musikill", a twisted musical whose
preview was acclaimed in
Los Angeles.
Gordon was very enthusiastic about Munich and the entire film
crew. "I just about laughed myself to death when I read the
script", Gordon said. Indeed the film is a comedy about death
where Gordon plays the star of a theater troupe who dies suddenly.
To avoid certain failure of the production Gordon is stuffed and
brought back to life by a mad taxidermist, and operated by computer
remote control. "The shooting of the film was just wonderful",
Gordon chuckled a year ago.
Now he really is dead, and the entire film crew and actors mourn
with Keiffenheim. Mourning with them is American mime artist and
friend from Santa Monica Brad Harris who was also invited to the
Oktoberfest as a surprise guest. Gordon was a kind a father of
all body builders and action heroes. Together with Joe Gold, Mitchell
opened the famous Gold's Gym, known today as the World Gym, where
later Arnold Schwarzenegger trained.

"The Sword and Sandal Festival ended with brand new prints
of THE GIANT OF METROPOLIS and THE WITCH'S CURSE. A Special Appearance
by METROPOLIS Star Gordon Mitchell made the evening complete.
Mitchell is immortalized in Fellini's SATYRICON as the Centurian/Gladiator
who battles the hero Martin Potter near the films' conclusion.
Gordon Mitchell is a legend in the world of Body-Building
and still enjoys acting at the age of 79! He came back from Germany
recently with a cult classic "DEADLINE – DAS MUSIKILL"
which was written, directed, and produced by Clemens Keiffenheim.
The trailer had to be seen to be believed! Mitchell sings and
dances in the ROCKY HORROR-like send-up that may become a midnight-circuit-must
as soon as the word gets out!"

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed seeing the
trailer for"Das Musikill" at the screening of "Giant
of Metropolis". The highlights had the audience and myself
laughing the whole time. It was refreshing to see Gordon, in a
musical/horror genre film which reflects on the length of his
career. Also, the trailer had a zany sense of humor that the audience
and myself enjoyed. I especially like the physical comedy aspect
of it, which is rarely used in American films.
I would enjoy seeing the rest of the film and more of Clem`s work
in the future.

This is just a brief note to let you know that I saw a trailer
of Gordon Mitchell's new movie two nights ago and was very impressed.
Generally, I am very critical with comedies and find most of them
not very funny. When I saw a few minutes of Mr. Mitchell's new
movie, I laughed and laughed and the audience also responded with
laughter. I think this movie will be a big hit. Mr. Mitchell seems
to have a natural talent for comedy. I wish I had the opportunity
of seeing the movie in its entirety here in the US.
I wish you and Mr. Mitchell a lot of luck with this movie. I know it will be a big hit.

On July 6, 03 the first trailer of the crasy Munich horror comedy
"DAS MUSIKILL" by Clemens Keiffenheim will be presented
at the UCLA in California.
The main actor, Ex-Hercules Gordon Mitchell, had been invited as guest of honour by the organizers of a film event, which shows some of Gordon`s old "sandals Films". Gordon was asked to take the opportunity, to introduce sequences on his latest film "DAS MUSIKILL". Gordon Mitchell will be 80 years old in July. He is very honoured by this invitation and is eager to see the reactions; especially here on the Internet . We are presently working on a live chat with Gordon which is coming soon.
At the same time "Das MUSIKILL" has finally gone online on July 5, 03. The forum is open for everybody now.
Score music and most songs were produced and mixed in 5.1 surround sound by the famous " 507 " sound studio in Munich. Post pro, sound design (SFX) and mixes are produced by Rainer Kläger at "Digital Audio Studio" in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround.
